Honey - Knotweed
Honey - Knotweed
Enjoy one of our apiary's sweet treats! Our honey is 100% pure, raw unfiltered sweetness.
Our honey is extracted from our hives and run through a metal sieve to remove impurities (chunks of honeycomb) and that is it! This allows our honey to retain all of its beneficial enzymes, nutrients, and medicinal compounds.
Our Knotweed variety is a late season harvest. Japanese knotweed belongs to the buckwheat family and gives the honey a dark amber color. It makes for a very flavorful, malty tasting honey that is great in teas, over oats, or just great by the spoonful!
Our honey comes in several different sizes and don't forget our jar redemption program, where you can save by returning your previous honey jar. For more information check out our Brett's Bees page.
Please be advised:
Raw, unprocessed honey will granulate over time. You can simply put the jar in warm water to re-liquify your honey.
Honey should not be fed to infants under the age of 12 months.

If you are looking to start beekeeping, I highly suggest to join a local beekeeping group and take an Intro to Beekeeping course.
Though honey bees are for the most part self-sustaining, there are plenty of pests and diseases to keep an eye out for, the most common being Varroa Destructor Mites. Hives and Nucs within my apiary are treated with several mite treatments throughout the year including, Formic Acid, Apivar, and Oxalic Acid vaporization.
If you are looking to purchase a Nuc feel free to reach out with any questions, and I am more than willing to help you get on your way after purchasing if questions arise!
